Diversity/Equity/Inclusion and Public Policy

The Public Policy Group plays a critical role in informing the Chapter, which in turn informs National about important issues.  National AAUW’s Public Policy Priorities, adopted every two years by every -member vote, establish the federal action issues on which AAUW members across the country focus their advocacy efforts and guide the work of the national staff.  States and branches also use Public Policy Priorities to inform their advocacy efforts on state and local issues.   www.aauw.org/resources/policy/aauw-public-policy-priorities

Conscious and unconscious bias has been a major focus of Sheboygan’s DEI/Public Policy Committee for the past year and continues into this year.
